Clayton Manahan, 91 Dies
Formerly On County Board

Clayton Manahan, 91, of Geff and formerly of Johnsonville, died at 9:56 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 1995, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Manahan was a retired farmer and former Orchard Township supervisor. He was a former Wayne County board member and was a census taker in 1940 and 1950 in Orchard Township.

Rites Conducted

Funeral rites were conducted Monday afternoon (today) from the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne, with burial in Bailey Cemetery at Wayne City. Visitation was held at the Hosselton Funeral Home Sunday evening.

He was born Oct. 8, 1903, at Johnsonville, the son of James M. and Ida Harlan Manahan.

On Jan. 9, 1929, in Fairfield, he was married to Inez E. Barnard. She passed away Feb.8, 1985. Also preceding him in death were his parents, five brothers and one sister.

He was a member of the Bailey Methodist Church and a member if the Modern Woodmen of America at Wayne City.
