Avery "Dink" Henry passed from this life on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016 at the age of 83. Dink was born March 19th, 1933 to Homer and Nellie (Gordon) Henry in Sardis, Oklahoma. Dink loved his family and friends and team roping , He would always rope with the young ropers, and anybody that wanted to rope. He loved hunting, fishing and rodeos, but his favorite was team roping. Dink won many saddles, belt buckles, trailers and lots of money. He like fishing, but never could out fish Hesston, and he would always complain about it. Dink worked in the oilfield and raised cows. He was an avid rancher. he was born and raised on the home place in Sardis, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his father Homer and his mother Nellie Henry; four brothers, Bobby Lee Henry, James Henry, Dee Henry and Omer Henry; his sister Estella Bacon; nephew Mitchell Henry and great nephew, Jermey Gill. Service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday 22, 2015 at the Clayton Rodeo Arena with Dustin Grammer officiating. Interment will follow at the A.L. Stephens Cemetery.
