Hash, Virginia Underwood, 84, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Calvin Coolidge Hash, this past August. Our mother was a sweet, silly and funny person and made our childhood wonderful even when times were hard. It is because of her we didn't even know that things were hard. Friends were always welcome in our house and our friends enjoyed being around her. If our Father was the head of the family, our mom was the heart and soul of it. She was always there throughout our childhood and adulthood, never judging, loving us unconditionally. She is survived by six children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Goldie Underwood and Bernice Oakes.
She has gone on to be with our father whom she has missed these past three months, and this brings great comfort to us knowing they are together again. We love you and we will miss you. Her funeral will be on Tuesday, October 25th, at 12 p.m. at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with entombment following in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-8 p.m.bSOURCE Published in The Courier-Journal on Oct. 21, 2016
