Mrs. Syble Ann Frady Henderson Whittington, age 83, resident of Horatio, died Sunday, June 30, 2002 in De Queen Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 in Chandler Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.L. Walker officiating. Burial followed in Horatio Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 15, 1918 at Cerro Gordo to Lymon William and Ellie Henson Frady, was a member of First Baptist Church of Horatio; and a homemaker. She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Willie D. Frady and Lymon W. "Junior" Frady; one sister, Gertrude Suttles; her first husband, Louis Henderson; two sons, Sherman Henderson and Lloyd Henderson; and a daughter, Shirley Ann Robinson.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Whittington of Horatio; three sons, Butch Henderson of Thornsby, Ala., Robbie Steve Henderson of Texarkana, Tex., and Bobbie Henderson of Texarkana, Ark.; five daughters, Sharon Owens and Charlotte Griffin, both of Texarkana, Ark.; Sandy Mitchell of Benton, Ky., Susan Nickerson of De Queen, and Sue Ann Cozart of Texarkana, Tex.; one brother, Harold Frady of Shreveport, La.; two sisters, Bernice Mayo and Hazel Jennings, both of De Queen; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
