William Jonathan Wilkerson was born the son of William Wesley and Sophrona A Barham Wilkerson. His parents married January 24, 1890 in Stoddard County, MO. He had one sister Stella Mae Wilkerson.


William W. Wesley died around August 8, 1893. Sophrona Wilkerson married again to William Robert Alexander and had more children.


William J Wilkerson and Glee Zola Rhoades were married circa March 12, 1912.


He worked for Sears, Roebuck & Company for a number of years before retiring.


William J Wilkerson passed away Saturday, husband of Glee Wilkerson, father of Charles, Paul, Max, Daniel and Robert (deceased). Brother of Ashford, Alexander, and Roy Wilkerson, also 19 grand children and one great grandchild. Friends may call at the Jordan Funeral Home, 2428 E. 10th anytime.
