Stella Mae Wilkerson was born the daughter of William Wesley and Sophrona A Barham Wilkerson. Her parents married on January 24, 1890, in Stoddard County, Missouri. She had one younger brother, William Jonathan Wilkerson.
Their father died around August 8, 1893. Sophrona Wilkerson married again to William Robert Alexander and had more children.
OBITUARY: STELLA MAE KOHN
Stella Mae Kohn, 74, died at a local rest home October 24. She was born in Bloomfield, Missouri, December 7, 1890, and was married November 7, 1907, to Sheldon W. Kohn, who preceded her in death.
She had been a resident of Medford since 1924, and was an active member of the Community Bible Church of Eagle Point.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mildred S. Lockard, Medford, and Mrs. Maxine I Shawley, Seattle, Washington; one son, Melvin William Kohn, Central Point; two brothers, W. J. Wilkerson, Indianapolis, Indiana; and A. P. Alexander, Kokomo, Indiana; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Beryl Hickson, Eagle Point.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Funeral Home under the direction of the Rev. Warren E. Christensen of the Community Bible Church, Eagle Point.
Internment will follow in the Garden of Our Savior Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
