Cathlene "June" Barnes was born in Castle, Oaklahoma in 1937, At 16 years old (after the passing of her mother), she and her family moved to Ceres, California, In 1957 she married the love of her life, Murel Barnes. Together they raised three daughters, as homemaker June enjoyed floral design, baking, cooking; she had a beautiful voice and could also whistle like no other. Most of all, June liked spending time with her friends, family as well as her church family.

A beautiful woman with a great smile and a twinkle in her eyes, everyone that knew her, loved her; she will be loved and missed always and forever. June leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years Murel Barnes, sister Carolyn Bernard, daughters Karen (Keith) Davis, Teresa Baugh, Anita Silva, five grandsons, five great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

June is preceded by the death of her parents James Henry Joslin and Bessie Thelma (Sullivan) Joslin, siblings Lawton Joslin, Opal Ketcheside, Kathryn Clem and Sammie Joslin.

Services will held Friday September 30, 2016 Lakewood Funeral Home in the Heritage Chapel, Hughson, Ca. Viewing from 10:30 to 11:30, funeral service to begin at 11:30 Burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in the North Hyland Garden Following the services, there will be a lunch reception in the Lakewood Funeral Home Reception Hall.
