LAPORTE - Loretta Rensberger, 86, of LaPorte, formerly of Lakeville, IN, passed away peacefully at 6:25 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Settler's House, La Porte.
She was born on May 18, 1930, in Mishawaka, IN, to James and Harriet (Jendrezwski) Fuchs.
Loretta loved spending time with her family and enjoyed going to Archie's on a daily occasion.
On September 5, 1948, in South Bend, IN, she married Rex K. Rensberger, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, and one sister, Susie Wiltrout.
Surviving are her two children, Jackalee Cross and Jennifer Willoughby both of La Porte, IN; two children who she proudly raised, Kathy Love of La Porte, and Tony (Cyndi) Watson of Thornton, CO; three brothers, Tom (Kathleen) Fox of Walkerton, IN, Mitchel (Jane) Fuchs of Racine, WI, and Dick Fuchs of South Bend, IN; one sister, Elizabeth (Don) Mumford of Auburn, IN; two grandchildren, Larry Willoughby and Mandy Eli; seven great-grandchildren, Seth and Alyson Love, Megan Kaufman, Melanie Watson, Madison and Noah Willoughby, and Loretta Eli; four great-great-grandchildren, Summer, Eli, and Chloe Love, and Evelyn Kaufman.
A funeral celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100, with Pastor Daniel Fox officiating. Visitation and viewing will be held from 6 - 8 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2016, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery, La Porte, following services.
