Dr. Rush Quinn Hunter Jr., 63, of Laguna Beach, Calif. and formerly of Palestine, Texas died February 25, 1999, in Laguna Beach. Burial was at Land of Memory Cemetery, Palestine. He was born September 13, 1935, in Palestine, to Rush Quinn Hunter Sr. and Aline West Hunter. Dr. Hunter studied pre-med at the University of Texas at Austin, Sam Houston State University and the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston. He served his internship and residency in Fort Worth and Sacramento, Calif. and practiced medicine in Laguna Beach. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, attached to the Marines as a medical officer. After his retirement from medicine, Dr. Hunter owned and operated a flower farm. He was Episcopalian.
He is survived by his sister, Mrs. Marley (Martha) Styner of Palestine; and a niece.
