GREENSBORO Hubert L. "Hugh" Durham, 86, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Moses Cone Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Forbis & Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. Mr. Durham was born on February 1, 1930 in Orange County, NC. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Linens Durham. He is survived by his wife, Mava "Bebe" Rogers Durham, his daughters Lynn Burton (Butch) and Donna Smith (Ken) and his sons Hugh Durham, Jr. (Wendy) and Timothy "Tim" Durham (Tammy). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Durham served in the Air Force, was a past governor of the Moose Lodge and a member of the American Legion. He coached and officiated Little League football and baseball and played professional baseball in Florida. He played semi-pro baseball at age 15.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Forbis & Dick Pleasant Garden Chapel.
