MRS. DELIA B. HAYDEN TO BE BURIED TODAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Delia B. Hayden, 91 years old, widow of the Rev. W. L. Hayden, who died Tuesday night at her home, 22 North Bolton avenue, will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the home. Dr. Bruce L. Kershner, dean of the college of religion of Butler university, will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Mrs. Hayden was born in Hardin county, Kentucky, Aug. 24, 1837. Her family was well acquainted with Abraham Lincoln and his family. That section of Hardin county in which Abraham Lincoln was born was later renamed LaRue county, which took his name from Mrs. Hayden's family.
Dr. John M. Goodwin of Clark county, Indiana, was Mrs. Hayden's first husband. He died in 1863. James Hayden of Warren county, Kentucky, who died in 1891, was her second husband. In 1906 Mrs. Hayden and the Rev. W. L. Hayden, her last husband, came to Indianapolis. The Rev. Mr. Hayden died in 1918. Mrs. Hayden was a member of the Disciples church for seventy-eight years. Four sons survive. They are Clarence L. Goodwin of Greensburg, Pa. John M. Goodwin of Indianapolis, Thomas E. Hayden of Louisville and J. N. Hayden of Indianapolis.
