He was a member of Highland Park Christian Church, owner and operator of the Old Pendleton Gulf Service Station, and a World War II Army veteran. He was a 32 degree Mason, Kosair Shriner, and member of the American Legion Shawnee Post # 193.
Survivors include his four brothers, a sister, numerous nieces and nephews, and a special friend.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
