Obituary for Billy T. Aaron
Funeral Services for Billy T. Aaron, 82, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Don Delukie and Ray Paseur officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, Louisiana.
Billy was born September 18, 1934 in Start, LA and passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 in Monroe, LA. He was a true southern gentleman who lived his life for Christ and for his family. Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family. He worked for more than 60 years in upholstery, and was known by many for his workmanship, professionalism, and kind-heartedness. He was an elder in the Church of Christ for over forty years and he and his wife, Gracie, were instrumental in the establishment of the West Ouachita congregation of the Church of Christ. Billy helped many people to know and accept Christ as their savior. He indeed believed that this world was not his home. His goal for himself, his family, and everyone he met was to get their true home with Jesus.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mack Aaron and Cornelia Aaron, three sisters, Grace Allen, Elsie Aaron, and Betty Spencer and two brothers, James Aaron and Willie Allen, Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Grace Keen Aaron, his children Ronald Lee Aaron and wife Mary Ann Strahan Aaron, of Monroe; Randy Mack Aaron and wife Kathy Middleton Aaron of Rocky Branch, and Nelia Aaron Chapman and husband Todd Chapman of Mangham. Grandchildren Jennifer Aaron Childs and husband Charles Childs of Brandon, MS, Amanda Aaron Satterwhite and husand George Satterwhite of Rocky Branch, Benjamin Aaron and wife Christina Coughran Aaron of West Monroe, Wess Aaron Chapman and wife Whitney Rhodes Chapman of Mangham and Luke Wilson Chapman of Mangham. He is also survived two sisters, Shirley Bledsoe of Rayville, LA, Judy Hendrix of Shreveport, LA and by ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Pallbearers will be Roger Keen, Troy Culp, Robert Steed, Wayne Fowler, Jim Rhodes, James Eric Keen and Melvin Keen. Mr. Aaron’s grandsons will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
He will be lovingly remembered and missed by many.
Visitation was held Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
