Funeral services for Bettye Faye Allen Spencer, 70, of Rayville, LA were held 10:00 AM, Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Archibald First Baptist Church with Bro. Dewayne Acord and Bro. John Cleveland officiating. Burial followed in the Lone Cherry Cemetery, Mangham, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
Bettye was born November 5, 1943 in Rayville, LA and passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 in Winnsboro, LA after a lengthy illness.
Bettye is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Ada Allen; sisters, Elsie Aaron and Grace Allen; and brothers, James Aaron, Donald Allen, and Willie Allen, Jr.
Bettye was a member of the Archibald First Baptist Church. She enjoyed helping her church, community, and her family.
Survivors include her sons, Len Spencer and wife, Teresa of Rayville and Chris Spencer and wife, Tammy of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Tyler Richardson and wife, Destiny, Danni Spencer, Haley Spencer, Megan Barton, Mirandi Spencer, Lee Spencer, and Doug Spencer; 4-great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Bledsoe of Rayville and Judy Hendrix of Shreveport; brother, Billy Aaron of West Monroe; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Tyler Richardson, Lee Spencer, Glen Bledsoe, Chad Bledsoe, Kenneth Hoyle, and Brian Weed. Honorary pallbearers are Kobe Spencer, Doug Spencer, and Kevin Reagan.
