On 3 May 1938 in Jackson Co., Mo., Don married Florence Evelyn Bodde, who was born on 26 Oct 1916 in Leavenworth Co., Ks., a daughter of Louis Bodde (b. Nov 1872, Ks.) and Adeline “Addie” Mayer (b.
