Edna was the sixth child of Effie Emery and James Marvin. In 1920, she married Richard B. Stanhart, who was born on 27 Sep 1906 in Kansas City, Jackson Co., Mo., a son of John H. Stanhart (b. 1870, N.Y.) and Louise M. Neville (b. 1872, Ks.). In 1926, Richard served in the U.S. Army. At the time of the 1930 Census, Edna and Richard were living in Kansas City, Jackson Co., Mo., where he made doors for a fire door company and she was a stenographer at an electrical supply company. In 1940, they were living in Gallatin, Clay Co., Mo., where Richard was an oiler in a flour mill. Richard and Edna had one son—Richard Lynn.

At the time of the death of Edna’s mother in 1962, the Stanharts were living in Raytown, Mo. Richard died on 25 Jun 1979 in Kansas City, Mo., and is buried with his son and Edna at Floral Hills Cemetery in Raytown, Clay Co., Mo. Edna’s second marriage was to Lawrence Stoll.
