On this day October 06th, 2016 Joe Franklin went home to be with his Lord, at 4:56 PM at Mother Francis Hospital, he was eighty years old.
By his bedside was his devoted & loving wife Ruby Franklin of fifty years, his daughters Regina Wallace and Brenda Franklin & family members.

Joe was the youngest son & fifth child of Issac Chadwell Franklin and Quixey Tylene Campbell Franklin, both deceased.
He was preceded in death by his oldest brother Issac C. Franklin Jr. of Tyler Texas, sister Sarah Moore of Las Vegas NV, & infant brother Fredrick Franklin of Huntsville Alabama. He was preceded in death by son Duane Franklin, daughter Vicki Franklin Castle, and grandson Adam Franklin( son of Vicki).

Joe leaves behind his sweet wife of fifty years, Mrs. Ruby Franklin, daughters Regina Wallace(husband Robert), daughter Brenda Franklin of Dallas Texas, and son Joshua Franklin of Tyler, Texas: sister sister, Marilyn Moyer of Cabot Arkansas.
He left behind 11 grand children,13 great grand children, nieces and nephews across the map.

Joe retired from being a cross country diesel truck driver for years. He worked for Tyler Pipe,Western Foundry's and Trane Corporations.

He met and fell in love with Ruby Marie Franklin some fifty years ago, when he moved back to Texas with his Mother. Joe fell in love instantly with Ruby. She a young widow with three small children. He and Ruby wed on August 14th, 1966 they had a daughter together, Regina Renee. He became a husband & Daddy to all four of their children, and loved every minute of it until his passing.

Joe loved the farm life, growing gardens, working on his farm equipment, tinkering with his truck, making play grounds on he and Ruby's property for their grand children, he loved home the best, that's where he was happiest in life, home with his family.

Joe will be buried at Harris Creek Cemetary, near his sweet Mother, Quixey Tylene Frankin, his daughter Vicki, son Duane,it's a beautiful place, a peaceful spot.
Joe & Ruby were members of Antioch Baptist Church, located near their home.

Visitation: Sunday 0ctober 09th, 2016 @ 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home:

Funeral: Monday October 10th, 2016, @ 3:00 PM @ Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home. Funeral procession will be escorted by Tyler Police Department to grave side service at Harris Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cody Wallace, Dylan Wallace, Freddie Franklin, James Owens, Gary Krieg, and Bo Spelbring.

Family requests memorials and/or donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
