Burial will be in Needmore Cemetery. Mr. Abernathy died at 11:30 p.m. Friday at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Shreveport.
Mr. Abernathy was a Korean War veteran and a former member of Ohio Valley Baptist Church, the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
