He was preceded in death by his parents, both brothers and beloved wife of 48 years.
A graduate of Austin High and Nixon-Clay Business College, T.J. (Tommy') served in the U.S. Navy and went on to work for mining company Radio Geophysical in Utah and then to a long and dedicated career of 30 years running the print shop for the Department of Human Services.
On August 2, 1954, he married the love of his life, Gayle Sefcik.
In 1954, he won The Golden Glove Boxing Championship in Austin. He was a life long member of the American Lebanon Association and he was very involved in church, currently serving as an elder at Hyde Park Presbyterian Church.
His survivors include children Lisa Terbay, Thomas Joseph Terbay, Jr., Shannon Terbay Spilman and husband Lee, all of Austin, grandchildren, Keith Alan and Victoria Geer and Bobby and Victoria Spilman and sister, Patricia Williams. He also leaves behind many special friends and loved ones.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20th, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21st at Weed¬-Corley-Fish Chapel with Reverend Linda Bourianoff officiating. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
