MAYE SEELY SWANSON: Topeka-formerly Camano Island WA: died Saturday at a Topeka retirement home. She was born in Boscobel, a dau of Charles & RhodaAnn Dowling Seely & moved to Decatur Cnty with her parents in 1906 & to the Grove community northwest of Topeka in 1911. She was graduated from Delia High School. She taught in elementary schools in KS & WA more than 40 years & worked at the BremertonWA shipyards during WW-2. She lived in WA 38 years before she returned to Topeka in 1981. She was a member of First United Methodist Church & the Grange. She was a member & past matron of Order of Eastern Star & had been active in Democratic Party affairs.
She was married to Gale Roach-Muscotah, he preceded her in death. She was married to Edwin Swanson of WA, he died in 1964. Nieces--nephews survive. Cremation is planned.
Arrangements for memorial graveside services are pending at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Interment will be in Muscotah Cem-Atchison Cnty.
