Mrs. Dennis of Dentsville Dies; Funeral Today
Funeral services for Mrs. Manie Mae Dennis, 61, wife of H.H. Dennis, who died suddenly yesterday morning at her home in Dentsville, will be conducted at 5"o'clock this afternoon from the Jackson Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. C.E. Varn, pastor assisted by the Rev. A.J. Foster of Columbia, Interment will follow in the churchyard.
Active pall bearers will be Nathan Thomas, Jack Dent, Samuel Shannon, Joseph Keels, J.H. Koon and W.H. Campbell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Shannon, Alonzo Roberts, L.W. Sweatman, R.E. Geiger, H.R. Geiger, Lonnie Nelson and John J. Motley, Sr.
Mrs. Dennis is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Hughi Lee of Patrick; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Katie Roof of Dentsville and Robert Dennis of Columbia; one brother T.C. Nates of Dentsville, and five grandchildren.
The body will remain at the Thompson Funeral home until time of services.
