Mr. Daniel Bradley Jordan, 94, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning (September 28, 2016) at his residence in Dixie Union.

He was a lifelong resident of Waycross/Ware County and graduated from Wacona High School. He served in The United States Army during World War II as a committed soldier. Following the war, he worked the first 26 years with Swift and Company Meats in sales and owned and operated Jordan Feed for 36 years and retired at the age of 93. He also served on the Board of the Ware County Farm Bureau, Ware County Planning Committee, and Satilla REA in Alma.

He loved his family and gathering with them. He enjoyed fishing, growing a garden, and talking to his customers and friends. He also enjoyed raising his family, farm life, and raising and taking care of his animals.

He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and his life was a testimony of this. All who knew him knew he was a man of God and he was always eager to share his life blessings with all. He was a member of Rehobeth Baptist Church, where his son, Phil Jordan, pastors. He also enjoyed going to gospel sings in surrounding counties.

Mr. Jordan was a son of the late, David "Dave" Jordan and Francis Rowland Jordan. He was preceded in death by a child, Diane Jordan; a grandchild, Alicia Justice; and a great grandchild, Carter Howell.

He is survived by his beloved sweetheart and wife of 72 years, Geniveve Carter Jordan of Waycross; four children, Daniel B. Jordan, Jr. (wife Gloria) of Blackshear, Linda Justice (husband Malcolm) of Waycross, Rev. Phil Jordan (wife Elaine) of Waycross, and Lisa Waters (husband Kenneth) of Bickley; nine grandchildren, Jeana Little (husband Thomas), Sonia Delk (husband Greg), Michelle Dixon (husband Teke), Jenny Starling (husband Chad), Brad Jordan (wife Amanda), Emily Howell (husband Adam), Phillip Jordan (wife Ashlyn), Kenna Waters, and Hunter Waters; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a special niece, Shirley King (husband Elmond) of Brunswick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Friday (September 30, 2016) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be held in Oakland Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Friday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 until 11:30.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Rehobeth Baptist Church, 1296 Cason Rd., Blackshear, GA 31516.
