A.C. Sharpe
Arthur Clifton Sharpe, 82, of 735 Silver St., died in Columbia Hospital Thursday.
Mr. Sharpe was born in Fairfield County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Sharpe and was a retired railraod welder and a member of Jackson Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sarah J. Sharpe; eight daughters, Mrs. Pearl Nates, Mrs. Ruth Kind, Mrs. Susie Bass, Mrs. Katherine Jacob and Mrs. Frances Scott of Columbia, Mrs. Cheryl Sherman of Abbeville and Mrs. Margaret Sharpe and Mrs. Mary Williams of Swansea; three sons, C.W. and A.D. Sharpe of Columbia and J.O. Sharpe of Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Katie Boone of Columbia; and a brother, J.C. Sharpe of Columbia.
Pallbearers will be F.A. Williams, Edward C. Sharpe, Kenneth Scott, H.C. Jacob, David White and Walter Geloeswki.
Funeral serves will be at 3:30 p,m. Friday in Jackson Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. George Hawkins, the Rev. John Mower and the Rev. J.C. Hunnicutt.
Thompson Funeral Home is in charge.
