Obituary, The State (Columbia, SC) February 21, 1954; Charnel Sharpe Funeral Today - Funeral Services for Charnel D. Sharpe, 60, will be held at 3 PM this afternoon from the Rehoboth Methodist Church of Dentsville, con ducted by the Rev W. T. Chewning of Crescent Hill Baptist Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Sharpe, a carpenter, died at a local hospital Friday after an ill ness of four weeks. He was a life long resident of Richland County and a member of Sandy Level Baptist Church of Blythewood. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Annabelle Sharpe of State Park, one sister, Mrs. Kate Boone of Blaney: four brothers, J.C., Arthur, Feaster, and Edward C. Sharpe, all of Columbia. Active pallbearers will be: William A. Sharpe, Willie H. Branham, Curtis Sharpe, Pat Sharpe, Crenshaw Branham and Mack Branham. Honorary pallbearers will be: John W. Foard, Sr., Marshall N. Fulter, B. W. Thraikill, W. R. Byrd, A. J. Kyall, J. W. Blume, William Abbott, Jack Lovett, H. F. Proveaus, R. C. Hutto, J. S. Boulware, B. B. Laboon, F. C. Walters, C. M. Rogers, W. F. Rowell and George Romanstine. Active pallbearers will meet at the McCormick Funeral Home at 3 o'clock and honorary will meet at the church at 3:25.
