Betty Louise Hensley, died Thursday evening, the 22nd of September peacefully in her home at the age of 80.

Born May 28, 1936 in Page County, Virginia, Betty was the daughter of Earl Hammer and Anna Pauline Breeden.

Betty worked at the Genie Plant in Page County until her retirement.

Betty's hobbies included cooking and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Jefferson Hensley; daughter, Karen Hitt; son, Vernon Hensley; granddaughter, Olivia Hill; grandson, Jonathan Hensley; great-grandchildren, Tamara Hill, Mason Fridley, Brooklyn Fridley and Drew Fridley; her brothers, Melvin and Gary Hammer and sister, Ann Frazier.

Family will receive friends Friday, September 30th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton. Her funeral will be held Saturday, October 1st at 2:00pm at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton with Pastor Josh Shifflett officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Run Cemetery with a graveside service.

A reception will be held at the Elkton V.F.W. after the graveside service is concluded.
