Her middle name is from the SS application and claim index.

She was born in 1869 to Charles Barr and his third wife, Julila Pauley. They can be found in the Youngstown, city directories through the 1883/34. Sometime between 1882 and 1885, the family migrates to Nebraska and the mother isn't with them in 1885. In 1885, Ella is living with a niece in Iowa. She marries Fred Cox, 1889 in Nebraska City, NE; Henry Varner, 1894, in Albia, IA; and Charles Lambert around 1907, probably in Albia. She seems to separate from Charles between 1920 and 1930, as she is listed as a widow in 1930, and he states he is married in 1930. She is living with her son, Roy during the 1930 and 1940 censuses. Her children include: Roy H, by husband, Fred Cox; and Blanche, by husband, Henry Varner. Her remains were interred 3 Oct 1949. All three husbands are in the Oakview cemetery.
