Funeral services for Cleven L. “Steve” Bass will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 19, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery in Alto, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mr. Bass was born on June 4, 1937 in Richland Parish, LA and passed away on September 15, 2016 in Monroe, LA. He was a retired Sergeant First Class with the Louisiana Army National Guard. He was a member and deacon at Grace Baptist Church in Monroe. He was preceded in death by his parents and by 3 brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Doris Day Bass; sons, Steve Bass and wife, Bonnie, Adam Bass, and Mark Bass; Daughters, Debra Swaggart and husband, Joey and Sandra Rice and husband, Hal; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Bo Bass and wife, Gloria, Frankie Coons and husband, Jim, Peggy Sue Johnson and husband, Charlie and Vickie Godina and husband, John; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Tom Stratton, Steven Stratton, Ray Smith, Charlie Johnson, Alan Clower, and Johnny Hamm.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.
