She enjoyed reading, going shopping and to yard sales, going to Sonic for strawberry sundaes and eating banana popsicles, spending time wit her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Eugene and Mary Opal Lucas Hooker, husband, Johnnie Eugene Hooker, son, Kenneth Eugene Hooker, grandson, William Edward Smith II, and two sisters, Dorothy Hatley and Helen Cummings.
She leaves the following to cherish her memory, five children, Barbara Jean Bingle and husband Jimmie of Stantonsburg, NC, Johnny Wayne Hooker and Peggie Peters of Caruthersville, MO, Julia Ann Hooker of Caruthersville, MO, Michael Andrew Hooker and wife Cindy of Desoto, MO, and David Lee Hooker and wife Tabitha of Caruthersville, MO, 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, sister, Roberta Ann Anderson of Caruthersville, MO, three brothers, Bill Middleton of Huntsville, AL, James William Middleton of Caruthersville, MO, Terry Lee Middleton of Caruthersville, MO, a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti, Missouri with Rev. Jim Pilcher officiating. Burial was in Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville.
Pallbearers were Bobby Harper, Randy Reeves, Stacy Middleton, Michael Hooker, Cory and Bill Smith.
