CHARLESTON, W.Va.

Mrs. Margaret L. Bikle, 67, of 1623 B. Kuarrier St., died Monday at Charleston Hospital after a brief illness.

She was a retired English teacher, having taught for two years at Williamsport High School, Williamsport, Md.

She graduated from Hagerstown High School in 1923. Mrs. Bikle attended Swathmore College graduating in 1927. She did graduate work at Marshall University at Charleston, W.Va.

Mrs. Bikle was active in the Story League and the League of Woman Voters in Burkes County. She was past president of the American Association of the University of Women of the Reading Branch, the West Virginia Teachers Association and the West Virginia Educational Association.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Charleston.

She is survived by husband George B. Bikle Jr., Riverside, Calif.; sister, Mrs. Helen Murray, Hagerstown; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at The Wyomissing Cemetery in Goughersville, Pa., the Rev. Lawrence Tropp officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Keller Funeral Home in Dunbar, W.Va. after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
