Her actual name was Janet Ruth (Long) Angell, but she always went by Ruth.

Ruth Angell, 66, Marion, died at 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, 6 September 2016, at Lutheran Hospital.

She was born in Marion to the late John and Dorothy (Atkinson) Long.

She married Robert Angell on 21 September 1968 in Marion, Indiana, and he survives.

Ruth was a 1968 graduate of Marion High School.

She worked as a realtor for Century 21 Realtors and Maidenberg Real Estate, retiring in 2013.

Ruth loved her family, especially her grandson.

She was a country girl at heart. Some of her favorite things were flowers, birds, fishing, hiking through the woods, and the beaches of Florida. Ruth also enjoyed classic cars, attending car shows, and following the National Republican Party.

A memorial service for Ruth will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, 17 September 2016, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, with the Rev. Tom Mansbarger officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services of Grant County, Tower Suites, 305 S. Norton Ave., Marion.
