John James Ross
Seventy-seven year old John James Ross of Route 4, Sheridan, was buried this afternoon at 2.
He died at his home near Sheridan, Saturday night.
Mr. Ross was a native of Grant County and lived there all of his life. He was a retired farmer at the time of his death.
His parents were the late Bob and Julia Ramick Ross.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Alice Ross; three sons, Robert Ross of Pine Bluff, and Oliver and Neil Ross of Sheridan; four daughters, Mrs. H. V. Ashcraft, Mrs. Ernest Taylor, Mrs. Clyde Lowman and Mrs. Clarence Easley, all of Sheridan; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Burial was in the Grapevine Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. C. J. Hardwick of Malvern, assisted by J. R. Adams of Grapevine.
J. P. Plunkett, Carl Hedden, Pierce Rundell, Odell Taylor, John Fielding and John D. Taylor were active pallbearers.
