Harold E. Lange, 93, of West Lafayette, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Indiana Veterans Home.

He was born December 16, 1922, in Lafayette, to the late Frank and Cecila Higman Lange. Harold was a veteran of WWII serving in the Navy in the Seabees. On June 20, 1952 he married Lucille Fine in Lafayette and she survives.

They were married for 64 years on June 20th of this year. Harold worked as a machinist for TRW Ross Gear for 37 years and retired in 1987. He was a 70-year member of the VFW#1154, Life Member of the Navy Club Ship #12. He also was member of the American Legion #492 and the 40&8. How do you put a man’s life in a short obituary? He was a quiet person but if he started something he always finished whatever he was doing. Harold and Lucille traveled all over the world and always did what they wanted to.

Surviving along with his wife is his son Rodger Lange wife Judi of Battle Ground. Also surviving are 6 nieces and 4 nephews. Harold was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until the time of the service at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, at Soller-Baker West Lafayette Chapel, 1184 Sagmaore Parkway West. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
