Giacomo Scopel, 75, Dies at Rest Home
Giacomo Scopel, 75, 6127 13th Ave., died Sunday morning at the Hayward Rest Home following a long illness. He was born in Italy, Oct. 3, 1883.
He came to Hillsboro, Ill., at an early age. On July 2, 1903, he married Miss Theresa Bellaver, and they came to Kenosha in 1928. Scopel had been employed by the American Brass Company for 21 years before his retirement in 1948. He was a member of St. James Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
In addition to his widow, survivors are a son and three daughters, Arthur, Mrs. Gene Agazzi and Mrs. Richard Kohloff, all of Kenosha; Mrs. Thomas Rosko, Witt, Ill.; three brothers and a sister, Gerolmo, Joseph, Louis, and Mrs. Louis Toigo, all of Benld, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
