Della Ratliff, 82, of Auburn, formerly of Orlando, died Feb. 27, 1999, in United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, after a short illness. She was a Methodist and a homemaker. Surviving: daughter, Erma VanNatter of Parma, Ohio; sons, James of Rittman, Ohio, Dale "Pete" and Edward, both of Ellenboro; sisters, Fern Sands and Sylvia Ratliff, both of Linn, Marjorie Blake of Orlando; brothers, William Riffle of Auburn, Stenna Riffle of Lexington, Tenn., Chester Herndon of Corley; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stockert-Gibson Funeral Home, Flatwoods, with the Rev. Ressie Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens, near Heaters. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

(Della was dau of Peter Coleman Conley & Blanche Myrtle Blake. In the 1920 census, Della, sister Marjorie & their mother Blanche was living with Blanche's parents, Thomas Lockard Blake & Elizabeth Wine, both Della & Marjorie was using the Conley name. In 1930, Della was using her step father's name, Riffle (William Frank Riffle). When she married Dale Ratliff in 1937, she was using the last name Blake, after he mother)per Cheryl Brown
