The body was brought to Albany, where funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church. Burial was in the family plot in the Albany Cemetery.
Mrs. Connell was born in Albany January 10, 1921, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Grover C. King. She was reared here, and graduated from the Albany High School, attended Texas Tech, and received her bachelor of science degree in home economics from Texas University. She taught home economics in the Thrall High School for a year and then served as secretary to the superintendent of schools, C. B. Downing, in the Albany High School.
She was married to Eunon O. Connell of Shreveport, La., Jan. 20, 1945, at the Albany Methodist Church. Mrs. Connell was a secretary in the Edna Gladney Home in Fort Worth. Mr. and Mrs. Connell had made their home in Houston for a number of years, She operated a bookkeeping service in Houston.
