On September 2, 2016, Frances (Minchey) Skipper, went to sleep in Carthage, Tennessee and awoke in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Frances, the daughter of Chester and Dovie Clara (Flatt) Minchey, was born June 3, 1927 in Jackson County, Tennessee. She is survived by a son, Ronnie Ithel Skipper and a daughter, Patricia (Skipper) Haffner, three grandchildren, Zachary Ross (Haley) Skipper, Lindsay Dawn Skipper (Robert) Rowlett, and Henry Clay (Lisa) Haffner, one great granddaughter, Hannah Emery Grace Brunner, and brother, Chester Eugene Minchey. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Wayne Minchey. Frances worked for State of Tennessee, Department of Revenue 1964 to 1971, then Twin Lakes Telephone Cooperative February, 1972 to February, 1990 when she retired and cared for both of her parents until their deaths by devoting her life to them and their care. Frances was a member of the Richmond Chapel Church of Christ and lived in the Bullard’s Creek Community. She was kind to everyone she encountered and greeted them with a smile. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016, at 1 P.M. at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services.
