Abigail married Austin Anderson Dey 1 Feb 1852. Austin Dey was killed at Reams Station Dinwiddie, VA, 25 Aug 1864, while serving with the 4th NY Heavy Artillery, Civil War. He was possibly buried on the battlefield or in a local cemetery as unknown. Charles Cook served with the same regiment and was near Austin Dey when he was killed by a musket ball through the head. After his release from a Confederate prison Charles Cook assisted Abigail Dey in filing for widow and children's pensions. Abigail Lowe Dey married Charles Cook 19 Mar 1868 per documents on Fold3.
