Mavis Irene Fulford, age 79, of Ligonier, IN, passed away on Saturday August 27, 2016 at Northridge Village in Albion, IN following an extended illness.

She was born on April 25, 1937 the daughter of Shirley and Flossie (Baker) Conrad in Albion, IN. On September 11, 1954 she married Joseph Fulford; he survives.

Also surviving are three children, Victoria L. Hamman of Ligonier, IN, Kelley (Brent) Crowe of Kendallville, IN, and Tara (Joshua) Wentworth of Albion, IN; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Delores Treesh of Kendallville, IN. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen A. Fulford; her parents; and five siblings.

Mavis was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, and friend to many. She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, scrapbooking, and above all spoiling her grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received from 4-8 PM on Tuesday August 30, 2016 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767.

A private family graveside will take place on Thursday in Cosperville Cemetery with Pastor Joey Nelson officiating.
