Eliza "Liza" C. Edmunds, 85, West Millgrove, died Sunday morning at Fostoria City Hospital.

She was born July 27, 1896 in Carrolton, KY to George Washington and Sallie (Brooks) Clark. She married John Thomas and he was killed Feb 1920. She married Ferd Edmunds on May 17, 1923 in Monroe, MI and he died Dec 30, 1957.

Surviving are a son, Albert Thomas, Tiffin, a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Ketcham, West Millgrove; a brother, Fred, Versailles, KY; a sister, Mrs. Andy (Minnie) Deavers, Midway, KY; eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Two daughters, three brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren died previously.

Mrs. Edmunds was a homemaker and a member of the Christian Church, Versailles.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne, with the Rev. Harold Corbin officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, West Millgrove.

Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Even with her limited education, she taught herself to crochet. Made beautiful doilies, edgings on sheets & pillowcases. Had customers order items for wedding gifts.
