Virgil W. Stuckey Sr.,
Little Rock –
Virgil William Stuckey Sr., 74, of Sheridan, died Thursday at the Veterans Hospital. He was a retired service station operator and log scaler.
He was a Veteran of World War I, a charter member of Finas Callion American Legion Post and the Grant County Historical Society, a Mason and a member of the First Baptist Church at Sheridan.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alma Glover Stuckey; two sons, Wayne E. Stuckey of North Little Rock and Virgil W. Stuckey Jr. of Mobile, Alabama; a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Skeffington of Savannah, Georgia; a brother, John Stuckey of Conway; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Buie, Mrs. Henry H. Ashcraft and Mrs. W. E. Ashcraft, all of Malvern; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church at Sheridan by Reverend Lex Eaker. Burial will be in the Lost Creek Cemetery by the Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
