Daughter of William A. & Louisa Stevens "Lou" (BACON) STROTHER, who were reportedly married in 1867. They were in Albany, GA on the 1880 census with the following children: Willie (male, aged 12 years), Corneille (male, 5), and Caro W. (female, 2), as well as Lou's mother Louisa E. BACON (70, a widow), and Neila BACON (female, 24, single). William A. died in 1896 and Lou in 1899, both in Albany.

In 1900, C. B. STROTHER (b. July 1874), Weyman STROTHER (b. Oct. 1885), and Minnie STROTHER (b. Mar. 1882), all single & b. in GA, were boarding at 1225 Second Ave. in Columbus, GA, with dentist Dr. C. T. OSBORNE and his wife Cornelia B.OSBORNE.

Mary Jane Galer's list of persons buried in the Old Cemetery section of Linwood shows: Minna H. STROTHER, widowed female, born 1881 in Columbus, Georgia, died aged 75 years in Montclair, New Jersey of ventricular fibrillation; interred 29 MAR 1956 in the "Dr. OSBORNE" Lot by undertaker Striffler-Hamby, reference local death certificate #179 - Sexton C. W. YOUNG

This grave is evidently not identifiably marked.

This woman is the daughter of William A. & Louisa "Lula" (BACON) STROTHER. She married first 08 SEP 1904 in Muscogee County, GA, to George Hooper WADDELL, III. They had 2 children on the 1910 census: George H. WADDELL (presumably George Hooper IV), aged 4 years, and Cornellie WADDELL, aged 2 years. Minna and George divorced prior to 04 JUIN 1919, when Minnia married second to William A. STROTHER, presumably a cousin in some way (not only was her father named William A., but she'd had an older brother William A. STROTHER, who died in 1888):

From New York City, NY, Marriages, 1829--1940 --- William A. Strother, single White male, aged 40 years, born in Edgefield County, SC, son of Benjamin N. STROTHER & Lucy REED, married 04 JUN 1919 in Manhattan, New York County, NY, to Minna (STROTHER) WADDELL, divorced White female, aged 36 years, born in Albany, GA, daughter of William A. STROTHER and Lula BACON.

My guess is that her second husband adopted her two WADDELL children and that the name of the elder one was changed from George H. WADDELL to Edmond Weyman STROTHER, since the two sons with William A. & Minnia H. STROTHER on the 1920 census of Montclair, NJ, are Weyman STROTHER (aged 14 years) and Corneille STROTHER (aged 11 years), identified as William's sons.
