Carrie Mae Schellar Crumbacker, 86, of New Windsor, died Sunday, Dec. 1,2002, at Sunny Woods Assisting Living in Westminster. Born Sept. 25,1916, in Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Edward and Annie Bart Schellar. She was the wife of Woodrow Francis "Jim" Crumbacker, whom she married Oct. 2,1937, in New Windsor, and who died on Feb. 2,2001.

She was a housewife. Surviving are children Woodrow A. and Emerson L. Crumbacker, both of New Windsor, Ronnie W. Crumbacker of Westminster, Charles N. Crumbacker of Taneytown, and Anita M. Galley of Sykesville; sister Florene Shipley of Thurmont; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by son Larry Crumbacker; sisters Reinee, Ruth and Evelyn; and brother Charles "Buck" Schellar. A funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Burrier-Queen Funeral Directors, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, with Chaplain Barbara Sears, chaplain for Carroll Hospice officiating. Interment will be in Sams Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Dennings.
