BALTIMORE, MD.—Arthur Kenner of Baltimore, Md., formerly of White Stone, died July 30, 2016, at the Future Care Nursing Home, Baltimore.
Mr. Kenner was born July 10, 1923, to the late Lauvenia Kenner in White Stone and was raised by his grandfather, Spencer Kenner Sr.
He was educated at A.T. Wright High School in White Stone and was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
Mr. Kenner served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1946. While in the Army, he received the Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Theater Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He did a tour of duty in Rhineland, Northern France and Scotland.
He was employed by Bethlehem Steel in Dundalk, Md., until he retired to White Stone.
Mr. Kenner is survived by a son, Arthur Kenner Jr.; a sister, Mary K. Dolby; and a granddaughter.
He is predeceased by a son, his mother, grandparents, brothers and two sisters.
A funeral was held August 6 at Campbell Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. Interment followed at Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery, White Stone.
