Having attended the local schools, Charles first worked on his father's ranch and later in the sawmill until 1903 when he leased 320 acre of land from Klamath Indian Reservation and during the next 2 years pastured stock there. In 1905 Charles traveled throughout the Keno District in a covered wagon selling teas and spices, making many interesting contacts on this route and noting much of the early Klamath County pioneer life during those years. In 1914 his father gave him 97 acres of land, the ranch upon which he now lives where he is engaged in general farming and raising alfalfa and cattle. On June 2, 1904 Charles Snowgoose and Josephine Trefren were married in Jacksonville, Jackson County, Oregon.
Four children were born to this union, Lois Gladys born July 20, 1905 (Mrs. S.L. Fisk); Benjamin Luther born July 18, 1907; Velma Lucile (Mrs. Andrew Banuelos) born September 28, 1912; and Cora Elizabeth born June 14, 1914.
Charles served as member of the Klamath County School Board from 1919 to 1925. His hobby is collecting postage stamps.
