Steve Allen, 71, Klamath Falls, died Sunday in the Klamath Falls home of his daughter, Shirley Ruth Teater, following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Allen was born in Mulberry, Indiana. He moved to Klamath Falls in the early 1940s.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Allen worked as a ranch hand and a cook's helper for many years. He retired after being a member of the Laborer's Local Union 915 since 1944.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ada in April 1977.
Survivors include his son, Everette Gene Allen, Greeley, Colo.; daughters Shirley Ruth Teater and Charlotee Yvonne Jones, both Klamath Falls; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
