Major W. Pearson, 64, of 1305 18th St., died Monday at the Medical Center.
Mr Pearson was born on Feb 4, 1903 in Laurel, Miss., a son of the late W.N. and Emma McBride Pearson. He had lived here 25 years and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie Pearson, Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. Ray Walters, Corinth, Miss.; a son, William J. Pearson, U.S. Navy; five sisters, Mrs. Bartow Summerford and Mrs. J.F. Baugh, both of Fortson, Mrs. J.A. Underwood, Columbus, and Mrs. Lula Robbins and Mrs. Bessie Thomas, both of Laurel, Miss., and two brothers, Jim Pearson, Laurel, Miss. and J.R. Pearson, Roseburg, Oregon. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the graveside in Piney Grove Cemetery.
