Irene Bragg, 88, of Carbondale, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 1984, in Styrest Nursing Home.
Mrs.Bragg was past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Paragould, Ark. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Carbondale.
She was born Aug. 25, 1896, in Hawk Point, Mo., to Will and Virginia Kelley Giles.
She married William S. Bragg who died Aug. 9, 1951.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Safriet of Carbondale; a son, William Bragg of Boulder, Colo.; a sister, Amelia Thelean of Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
