Lewis Gilbert Ward, 67, of 2511 Harmon St, died yesterday in a Spencer Hospital following a long illness. Born in Wood County, a son of General Lee and Alma (Straight) Ward, he was a retired bulldozer operator.
One brother, the Rev J C Ward of Ellensboro, survives. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Saturday at Shaver & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev L R Mahoning officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 pm today.
