Dulia Isaacs Dawson, 83, of Lexington, KY formerly of Richmond, died Thursday, August 11, 2016 at her home.
Dulia was born in Jackson County, Brazil, KY., on January 14, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Esau and Zella Powell Isaacs and the widow of Ashby A. Dawson to whom she was married to for 40 years. She was a retired state employee and of the Holiness Faith. She loved to read the Bible and enjoyed listening to gospel music. Her greatest loves were serving the Lord and her family.
Survivors include: two daughters, Brenda Willoughby (Jerry) of Lexington, KY, Rose Etta Dawson of Richmond, KY; one son, Elbert Dawson of Lexington, KY; one step-son, John Dawson (Joyce), Ohio, two brothers, Boyd Isaacs of Dreyfus, KY and John Isaacs of Richmond, KY; five sisters, Alice Lainhart of Russellville, Ohio, Vadis Sizemore and Shirley Eversole, both of Richmond, KY, Judy Harrison and Patsy Jones, both of Jackson County, KY; three grandchildren, Louis Sparks (Laura), Jonathan Oliver and Scott Crane, three great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: five brothers, Esau, Charlie, Malcom, Raymond and Jerry Isaacs; and four sisters, Gracie Isaacs, Mary Coyle and Nora Abner and Reba Isaacs.
A funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted 1:00 PM at the Oldham Powell Funeral Home, Richmond, KY. Burial will follow on Monday in the Madison Memorial Gardens in Richmond, KY.
