Henry Goldsbrough was born to Esther Duce & John Goldsbrough 4 June 1823. The family was living in Swinton. Henry was "Baptized" (Christened) 27 June. [The record is found in Bishop's transcripts for Wath-upon-Dearn.]

Henry married Amelia Widdison Hallam 5 Oct 1845. He was a Grocer when he immigrated to the United States of America with his first wife Amelia Widdison Hallam and his sister, Sarah Ann Goldsbrough. They sailed from Liverpool on the ship "Ellen." The ship was to leave 6 Jan 1851. However, "the ship remained anchored in the river opposite Liverpool until the eighth" [Millennial Star, Vol. XIII pages 24, 158.] They arrived in New Orleans about 12-14 Mar 1851.

He was a hotel owner/operator & a liveryman in Nephi .

Henry married Susannah Spencer 20 Dec 1851 in Salt Lake City, Utah [Susannah had been on the Ellen when Henry & family crossed]. They had 9 children.

Henry married Annie Crane 14 Mar 1857. He married Ellen Jackson 28 Nov 1858. He married Ellen L. Russell 7 Mar 1873.

He became a naturalized citizen 20 May 1878.

He died from injuries from a fall.
